A look back at events we've already hosted.

Flixton & Davyhulme Carnival

We were at Davyhulme Park representing ADHD Unite Network UK! People came to say hello, have a chat with us, find out more about our peer-led ADHD support and see what we're all about.

It was brilliant meeting people, sharing experiences and building connections within our local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated on the day — your generosity helps us keep our weekly group, walks and resources free for everyone who needs them.

Monthly Guided Meditation Special

It was amazing to see a full room and some new faces at our Monthly Guided Meditation Special. The energy, openness and sense of community made the evening truly special — thank you to everyone who came along and helped create such a warm, supportive atmosphere.

A special thank you to John Barrett for beautifully guiding the session and creating such a calm, welcoming space for us all.

Tools to help with ADHD are not one size fits all — that's why this is a safe, non-judgemental space to try things that might help with burnout, overwhelm and everyday challenges.

Walk & Talk

Sale Water Park — connect, talk, support. We met at 9:45am for a 10:00am start and walked roughly 2.5 miles (4 km) around the water, taking about 1.5 hours. The route was mostly flat, suitable for most abilities and wheelchair friendly (though wet conditions could affect this).

We stopped at Tree Tops Cafe for anyone who fancied a drink or a bite to eat, with free parking at the car park. Whether people had ADHD, were waiting for an assessment, supported someone with ADHD, or simply wanted to connect with a friendly community — everyone was welcome.

We stopped off at Riverside Coffee Ltd on the walk, and everyone was welcome — friends, family members, and carers joined us. The route was wheelchair accessible, though wet conditions could affect this.

Meditation Evening

A calm Wednesday Night Group meditation evening — a space to slow down, connect, and reset. We started with a 15-minute chat, regulated together, then enjoyed a 30-minute guided meditation hosted by John Barrett.

Meditation is especially great for ADHD because it improves focus, reduces impulsivity, and calms the nervous system. It was a supportive evening that left everyone feeling more grounded.

Walk & Talk

We enjoyed a relaxed Walk & Talk at Chorlton Water Park. It was a gentle chance to connect, get some fresh air, and share conversation with people who understand ADHD — no pressure, just good company and a beautiful setting.

Everyone was welcome, including friends, family members, and carers. We wandered at our own pace, fed the swans, and paused for a well-earned brew together afterwards.

We were at Altrincham Festival!

ADHD Unite Network UK had a community stall at Altrincham Festival. It was a brilliant day of conversation, connection, and raising awareness. We loved chatting with everyone who stopped by to learn more about ADHD, pick up information, and find out how we support adults, parents, young people, and families affected by ADHD.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with us and learn about ADHD — and an extra thank you to all those who donated. Your support means the world and helps us keep these community spaces free and open.
